Overview
In this Privacy Policy, "we", "our", or "app" refer to the BillQ app developed and published by Tinisoft, and "the website" refers to tinisoft.in / tinisoft.com. BillQ is a quick-billing app for shops on Android and Windows.
BillQ takes your privacy seriously. This document explains what the app stores, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.
Information We Collect
- Account details: your name, and the mobile number or email address you sign in with. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; nobody at Tinisoft can read them.
- Shop details: the shop name, phone number, address and receipt footer that the shop admin enters.
- Sales and products: bills (amounts, quantities, product names, date and time, and which user made the bill) and the shop's product list (code, name, price).
- Subscription records: trial and paid-until dates, and payments made or recorded for the shop.
- A device ID: a random identifier BillQ creates on each device and saves with uploaded bills, to tell the shop's devices apart. It is not linked to your phone's hardware or advertising IDs.
BillQ does not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, messages or microphone. Bluetooth is used only to find and connect to your receipt printer.
How We Use It
- To let you sign in, and to keep your shop's data separate from other shops.
- To save bills on your device and sync them across the shop's devices.
- To show sales reports to the shop's admins.
- To manage the free trial and the shop's subscription.
We do not sell your data, show advertisements, or use your data for advertising.
Where It Is Stored
Bills are saved first on your device, so billing works without
internet, and are then uploaded to Tinisoft's Angadi servers
(https://api.angadi.app) over an encrypted connection.
Payments
Online payments for the BillQ plan are processed by Razorpay on Tinisoft's Angadi website. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and are not stored by BillQ or Tinisoft. We keep a record of each payment (amount, date and reference) and the GST invoice.
Who Can See Your Data
- Within a shop: admins can see all of the shop's sales, products and users. Cashiers see the bills made on their own device, and can change only their own bills.
- Tinisoft: authorised staff can see shop and subscription details to provide support and activate subscriptions.
- Others: we share data only when the law requires it.
Keeping and Deleting Data
Shop data is kept while the shop's account is active. To delete your account or your shop's data, follow the steps on How to delete your BillQ account. We delete the account and its personal data within 30 days. We may keep records that the law requires us to retain, such as payment and GST invoice records.
Bills already saved on a device stay there until the app is uninstalled (Android) or its data folder is removed (Windows).
Children
BillQ is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 18.
Security
We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect your information. However, no system is completely immune to threats, and we recommend using a strong password and not sharing your login.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of October 20, 2026. If it changes, we will update the date above and show the new version in the app or on this website. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
